Your food mentoring has helped me in life 💕❤️ post partum!

This journey in getting back to some old positive routines, but I think working with you taught me to prioritize my own nutritional needs in the midst of social pressure. We have had a lot of well meaning friends want to cook, send take out, family visiting and wanting to help etc. I have realized that preparing my own healthy food (especially with lots of veggies) has been a humanizing form of self care and something I look forward to (without having to apologize or feel guilty for doing my own thing). Anyway! Just wanted to say it has been the gift that keeps giving. Love you!

I appreciate about you.

1) I have lost a total of 10 pounds since we began working together and kept it off. The habits that we developed have really stuck! Struggling with sleep right now but it has not thrown off my routine. So so grateful for all the support you offered me in spring.

My mindset has improved so much.

Mentally, I have always felt a bit scattered as a mom. I always feel pulled in so many different directions. I really appreciate the three daily priorities each morning. Because as the day goes on, and things start getting hectic, all I have to do is focus on that to see what I should be doing. And I am feeling much more confident in my choices. Before, I would think I wanted to eat healthy or workout but I was never quite sure what path to take. Now, it’s easy because I know what my nutrition goals are and my workout is in the app! I am feeling so much better! Better energy, digestion and I just feel so good in my body now. I am losing weight and I don’t look bloated all the time.

Physically I feel stronger and have more energy

I like having these strength workouts to do- while I do a lot of movement outside of this, before at home I was choosing peloton strength workouts to do randomly, not in any order and I like the progressive nature of the workouts. Mentally I notice that I am more introspective and kinder to myself. As someone with a disordered eating history I wanted to proceed slowly (and have) but have not felt activated at all, in fact, I am really motivated by making changes that support my health. I do notice my stomach feels different, but overall I just have more confidence. ANother mental change is from the "i deserve it" part and working through that...and Im asking myself, how else can I treat myself besides food (as that's been my go-to for eons) and what else do I need in this moment for self care. Good stuff!!

Where do I begin…

1. Afternoon slump is gone especially when I get enough sleep 2. Taking a walk if I feel slightly tired has been a game changer 3. Clothes are fitting much looser and some things that were barely fitting I can now wear 4. Inflammation especially in ankles and feet is significantly less and joints are hurting less.

I’ve so learned so much about nutrition and eating habits

Implementing the Plate Method at meals and ensuring I’m getting enough protein each day have been game changers! However, becoming more mindful of my thoughts about my own performance (especially how to redirect the negative ones!) and staying curious about my body instead of judgmental…it’s like a sigh of relief after years of struggle.
